Kia ora! We’re inviting you to be one of our special guests to experience the Christmas Joy Store in a completely new way, not just by visiting, but by becoming part of the team for the day.
The Christmas Joy Store is New Zealand’s first social toy store, where referred parents and caregivers can shop for free and choose the gifts they know their children will love, off the shelves for free.
For one special day, we’ll be opening the Joy Store early for families in need, and we’d love to have you be a part of the crew to help give them the best Christmas possible.
Date: Wednesday 4th November 2026
Location: Unit I, 33 Walmsley Road, Ōtāhuhu
Choose ONE session:
Morning: 9:00am–12:00pm
Afternoon: 12:00pm–3:00pm

As part of the Christmas Joy Store we’d love for you to share the kaupapa, help us spread more awareness and reach more families in need. What does that look like?
1) Participation in our content from the day (video): We’ll ask you a few short questions for a reel that our team will put together.
2) Any content from your perspective! We'd love you to share your experience with a reel, photos or stories of your own, in your style.
If possible, we'd love you to post from Monday 16th November.

“I know this is going to stick with me for my whole life. Volunteering at the Christmas Joy Store has actually been amazing.
I was just chatting to one mother there, and I didn’t ask many questions but learned she was just discharged from a hospital, she can’t work, she has twins and an older daughter. I was just bringing the stuff to the car and it looks like they’re living a lot of their lives in the car. And it definitely gets to you.”
