Kia ora! We’re inviting you to be one of our special guests to experience the Christmas Joy Store in a completely new way, not just by visiting, but by becoming part of the team for the day.
The Christmas Joy Store is New Zealand’s first social toy store, where referred parents and caregivers can shop for free and choose the gifts they know their children will love.For one special day, we’ll be opening the Joy Store early for families who could really use some kindness this Christmas, and we’d love to have you be a part of the crew.
During your session, your role could be to help welcome shoppers in, to restock shelves, pack gifts and support families throughout their visit.It’s an opportunity to give back, connect with our community and experience the impact of the Christmas Joy Store first-hand.

Afternoon: 12:00pm–3:00pm

1) 1x reel by Kindness Collective: At the end of your session, we’ll ask you a few short questions about what stood out and what the experience meant to you for a reel that our team will put together.

2) 1x reel by you: We’d also ask for you to share your experience with a reel of your own, and in your creator style. Please note that to protect the privacy and mana of our shoppers, families cannot be filmed or photographed. Our team can help guide you on what content can be captured during the day.

“Volunteering at the Christmas Joy Store has actually been amazing. It’s my first time. I was just chatting to one mother there, and I didn’t ask many questions but she was just discharged from a hospital, she can’t work, she has twins and an older daughter. I was just bringing the stuff to the car and it looks like they’re living a lot of their lives in the car. And it definitely gets to you.
I know this is going to stick with me for my whole life.
Hopefully it’ll inspire other people to help others as well.”
