Manaaki Ora is back for 2025 - providing warmth, nutrition and healthcare for families facing a difficult winter

‍This year, we're proud to relaunch Manaaki Ora in partnership with Foodstuffs, Nau Mai Rā, The Warehouse, and Tend Health, together delivering a wrap-around programme that provides energy support, nutritious food, healthcare and winter essentials for whānau in need.

Manaaki Ora launched in 2024 as a first-of-its-kind pilot programme, supporting families in hardship through the winter months. The results were promising with 83% of participants reporting improvements to their overall wellbeing, including physical and mental health and financial stability.

Now in its second year as an established programme, Manaaki Ora will continue to support whānau so they can stay warm and well in winter.

This year, we're working alongside Starship Children's Hospital to support families in the community through the programme, alongside families in Nau Mai Rā's whānau fund who are facing more than just energy hardship.
