Mitre 10

We have partnered with Mitre 10 to build meaningful spaces that truly make a difference.

The team at Mitre 10 enable us to build community gardens and hubs, school gardens and play equipment that benefits children and their families, and supports and strengthens the communities around them, for years to come.

Over the last three years we've built 27 projects, including large scale community gardens that benefit entire communities and the food initiatives that support their families in need.

We want to bring the team to your place!

We’re on the lookout for more projects around Aotearoa where we can spread some kindness by building or transforming community spaces. From building outdoor play equipment to school gardens, our team builds fun, functional spaces that can be enjoyed by communities for years to come.

Do you know of a marae kitchen, refuge safe house, school, church or community hub that could do with a makeover? Do you know of a school that would benefit from a garden to help teach tamariki the journey from kai to the kitchen?

"We were thrilled to see Kindness Collective named Mitre 10 Community of the Year at the 2023 New Zealander of the Year Awards for the awesome mahi they do for communities all over the motu. At Mitre 10, our purpose is to inspire Kiwi to love where they live work and play, so partnering with Kindness Collective through Mitre 10 Helping Hands made perfect sense, and gives us the opportunity to work together on more projects that make a genuine difference to children and families across Aotearoa New Zealand".
Jules Lloyd-Jones, Chief Marketing Officer, Mitre 10
”Existing and past users are amazed at the transformation. Already there’s a greater sense of pride in the space. Thank you to the Kindness Collective for helping facilitate this opportunity and the very generous donor for enabling us to deliver on our ambitions for a warmer, more inviting and functional space for our young people and the wider community to enjoy”.
